Warm, unsettled weather will remain in place over the next few days over much of the central and eastern parts of the country ahead of a cold front pushing southward through the Great Lakes Region.
However, as drier weather temporarily becomes entrenched over the Northeast, showers and thunderstorms will remain a daily possibility elsewhere in the aforementioned regions: over the next 5 days, 1 to 2 additional inches of rain will be possible in the central and northern Plains, as well as the Southeast, where coastal farming areas may see more than 4 inches.
