Nebraska Cattlemen discuss traceability heading into ’24

A leader in the cattle industry says animal disease traceability will be an important issue in 2024.

Laura Field is the executive vice president of Nebraska Cattlemen. “We all know that if we ever had a foreign animal disease outbreak in this country, it would just be devastating. And if we can’t know where cattle are moving and we’re not able to get information on stopping those problems, then we really will be in a bind.”

She tells Brownfield the issue was discussed during their recent convention.
