Corn planting in Nebraska, as of Sunday, was 42 percent complete, slightly behind average, while soybean planting reached 16 percent, slightly ahead of average.
Winter wheat condition rated 61 percent good to excellent, 32 percent fair and seven percent poor to very poor.
Pasture growth has been very slow this spring. Cattleman Galen Frenzen of Fullerton, Nebraska says he had enough hay to delay the turnout of his cattle, but some producers are less fortunate.
