Nebraska corn industry leaders are expressing their outrage over what they say are President Trump’s “broken promises”.
Corn Board chairman Dave Bruntz, a farmer from Friend, calls
the granting of 31 refinery waivers “unjustified” and “a slap in the face”. Nebraska Corn Growers Association president
Dan Nerud of Dorchester says while many of the state’s corn farmers have stood
with Trump, “that may soon change”.
Bruntz and Nerud say the administration needs to fulfill its promises and uphold the integrity of the RFS.
