A South-Central Nebraska farmer says he is cautiously optimistic that demand for US corn and soybeans might be starting to ramp up.
Mike Bergen tells Brownfield South American production has limited the amount of US exports, but “As of recently, we’ve had some export sales, but export sales announcements we all know have to get loaded on a ship for them to come to fruition.”
He says that means that US farmers must find ways to be more efficient to lower their cost of production.
