A northeast Nebraska farmer says his crops look “fantastic”.
“The dryland crops, I don’t know if they could look any better than they do,” says Greg Anderson of Newman Grove. “I just can’t recall another time when they did, at this time of the year.”
Anderson doesn’t irrigate. He says he has had ample rainfall this year.
“About five inches of rain in May, ten inches in June that came really nice, and about four-and-a-half in July.”
Anderson says he’s been fortunate to miss wind and hail storms that have affected other farmers in the region.
