The application process for the federal Market Facilitation Program (MFP) is now open.
Kathy Anderson, production and compliance program chief for FSA in Nebraska, says it’s a fairly simple process.
“A producer does need to know their 2018 production for a particular commodity before they come in,” Anderson says. “The other thing we do want to stress is they want to be sure they have records to back that number up and substantiate it, so if there’s a spot-check down the road, we know that we’ve got a good number that we’ve made payments on.”
The MFP application process runs through January 15th.
