Nebraska’s agricultural leadership program, called LEAD, recently began its 39th year of operation.
Program director Terry Hejny says nearly 11-hundred people
have participated in the program.
“They’re on the Corn Board, the Sorghum Board, the Soybean
Board, the Beef Council. They also get involved in education and healthcare—they
serve on hospital boards and school boards—and they get involved in county and
state government. They’re making a difference in all parts of Nebraska,” Hejny
says.
