New feed technology center coming to University of Illinois

The University of Illinois will break ground this summer on a state of the art feed technology center.

“It really is an opportunity for us to develop outreach and academic programs.”

Rodney Johnson, head of animal science, tells Brownfield the new facility will replace the current feed mill on campus, built in the 1920’s.

“It will produce all of the diets for the animals that are raised on our south farms.
