A new year brings a new case of highly-pathogenic avian influenza to Wisconsin.
State agriculture officials tell Brownfield the virus has infected 41,000 turkeys at a commercial growing operation in southwestern Washburn County not far from Shell Lake.
The new case was reported Thursday and the birds are being depopulated.
