New Soil Health Partnership director focused on data

The new director of the Soil Health Partnership considers data collection critical to success on the land.

Shefali Mehta joined the farmer-led initiative in early August.

“I spent quite a bit of time around data, analyzing data, using it, managing it.  Really from the perspective of the better our data is, the better we’re able to equip our farmers and others to make decisions.”

Speaking to Brownfield at the Farm Progress Show in central Iowa, she says the Soil Health Partnership works with farmers to be environmentally and economically sustainable.
