As congress continues to debate the 2023 Farm Bill, National Farmers Union President Rob Larew says producers depend on a strong farm safety net.
“On the horizon there are likely to be more weather disasters. We could have other disruptions. Let’s build in protections for farmers, ranchers, and the food system as a whole,’ he says.
Ahead of his testimony at a Senate Ag subcommittee hearing on Tuesday, Larew told Brownfield the farm bill should be forward-looking.
