U.S. Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue says farmers will not receive any market facilitation program payments for trade disputes next year.
“The market will equilibrate over a period of time and farmers will look at the markets and make their marketing and planting decisions the way they always do so there’s not an expected market facilitation program for 2019.”
He says farmers would rather have markets restored and USDA is working to expand trade including with Japan and the Philippines.
