No breakthrough in U.S.-China trade talks

There were no breakthroughs after two days of talks between U.S. and Chinese trade officials.

A White House spokesperson said the countries discussed views on how to have a balanced economic relationship, including by addressing structural issues in China.

This was the first formal round of trade talks since June.

Trade tensions continue as more tariffs have gone into effect on an additional $16 billion dollars’ worth of U.S.
