The Dairy Margin Coverage program will not be making payments for October production.
The October margin was calculated to be $10.71 per hundredweight, which is higher than the $9.50 trigger price and more than two dollars higher than the September margin when the DMC program triggered payments to producers.
The National Milk Producers Association says December margins might trigger another payment, and the DMC program paid out enough for August and September to cover the cost of the Tier One coverage premiums.
