A north Iowa crop and livestock producer is recovering from recent storm damage.
Josh Nelson of Belmond says strong winds took the roof off one of his hog barns the morning of May 24th.
“We have power vent barns, we’ve got the rafters and then an enclosed ceiling. The ceiling fell down on top of the pens, so Friday was kind of a panic day of hurrying up and getting the pigs out of there before anything bad happened.”
He tells Brownfield a few pigs were injured, but it could’ve been much worse.
