Northern Wisconsin harvest slowly gaining momentum

The harvest is gaining momentum for northern Wisconsin farmers.

Ben Augustine grows row crops and dairy forage near Sheldon.  He says his 455 acres of soybeans are now in the bin. “I averaged low 50s there. I had two fields get white mold pretty bad so that drug down the yields, but 51-52 across the farm.”

And when he’s done roasting soybeans for the dairy cattle, Augustine will start harvesting 820 acres of corn.
