A northwest Iowa farmer says he’s expecting an above average harvest despite the dry growing season.
Kelly Nieuwenhuis raises corn and soybeans on 2700 acres in O’Brien County. “On the soybean side, the field we’re in right now may end up being the best field this farm has ever produced.”
He tells Brownfield a round of August rains changed the game. “Our farm ranged from 3-to-8 inches of rain in August.
