National pork officials are hoping for a Supreme Court review of California’s Proposition 12.
Cody McKinley is with the National Pork Producers Council. He says, “It is in front of the Supreme Court, so we’re still alive and just waiting for them to make a determination of whether or not they’ll hear the case, and we’ll argue from there.”
McKinley says Prop 12 may be on hold for now because of a lower court ruling, but producers need the certainty of a final rule.
