The chief of USDA’s Natural Resources Conservation Program says they’ve made a lot of progress implementing 2018 Farm Bill programs and one more is about to launch. Matthew Lohr testified before a House Ag Subcommittee Wednesday morning saying, “(Tuesday night) we got clearance from OMB on the interim rules on our final farm bill program, the Regional Conservation Partnership Program, RCPP. I know there’s been a lot of anticipation around this announcement, so the rules are being sent to the federal register today and they should be published early next week for public comment.”
The 2018 Farm Bill made the Regional Conservation Partnership Program a stand-alone program with its own funding.
