Nutrien Ag Solutions has acquired a soybean breeding program from BASF.
Rob Dunlop, Nutrien’s Vice President of North America, says the program is tailored for the southern portion of the U.S. “A lot of our competitors are breeding in more northern parts of the U.S., so having these two testing stations down south gives us the opportunity to select, test, and identify those varieties that are going to perform really well in those geographies.”
The acquisition includes two breeding sites in Marion, Arkansas and Leland, Mississippi for future products to be sold in Nutrien Ag Solutions, Inc.
