Farm Bill, regulations including Waters of the U.S., and trade are some of the policy issues Ohio Farm Bureau members discussed during congressional visits on Capitol Hill this week.
Franklin County Farm Bureau President John Hummel, a corn and soybean farmer from Canal Winchester, met with Congressman Troy Balderson.
During the visit, he highlighted the importance of maintaining crop insurance in the 2023 Farm Bill.
“It’s important we keep the crop insurance and crop protection side to keep that baseline underneath us,” he says.
