Harvest has been slow going for northern Ohio farmer Steve Reinhard.
He tells Brownfield they’re trying to take advantage of decent weather this week to put a bigger dent in the harvest. “So far, yields have been good for both crops,” he says. “Our soybean yields have been running really kind of surprisingly good. I know we’ve had some fields that we thought would be on the upper end of what we usually have for a farm average, but they’ve actually exceeded that expectation.”
Reinhard says there have been some reports of vomitoxin in corn, but overall, the quality has been pretty good.
