The House and Senate have passed the 2018 Farm Bill and Ohio Senator Sherrod Brown says it couldn’t have come at a better time for farmers.
“The last time we wrote the farm bill commodity prices were, if not soaring, were high and now it’s a different time,” he says. “That’s why we modernize this bill and update it every five years.”
He tells Brownfield he was pleased to see the revisions to the Agriculture Risk Coverage (ARC) and Price Loss Coverage (PLC) programs.
