Palmer Amaranth has been found in a fifth Minnesota County.
The Minnesota Department of Agriculture scouted a field in Redwood County, located in the southwestern part of the state, and found four plants in a soybean field that were sent in for genetic tests in mid-September.
Testing confirmed the weeds were Palmer, and MDA staff searched a five-mile radius of the infestation and have not found any other plants or the source.
