President Trump last Saturday proudly announced a “tariff truce” with China and that negotiations in pursuit of an end to the tariff wars between the world’s two largest economies are “right back on track.” Carve away the spin, this means the talks will restart, but there’s no guarantee of a deal.
No deadline was given for the jump-started talks, but it goes
without saying, a resolution needs to be sooner rather than later.
