Representatives Cheri Bustos
and Darin LaHood have announced the Peoria Ag Lab has been removed from the
closure list and is recommended to be funded in President Trump’s FY2020 budget
proposal.
Bustos says the lab drives
innovation for farmers, consumers and families across the country and calls the
announcement a victory for Peoria and bipartisan cooperation in congress.
LaHood says he is grateful
President Trump recognizes the impact the lab has on central Illinois and
agriculture in the Midwest and for his decision to have the lab fully funded.
