Ag Secretary Sonny Perdue says farmers who qualify for the next
round of market facilitation program payments will get at least $15 an acre.
Talking to reporters Tuesday, he said more details will be announced before the end of the week.
“We are anticipating three tranches, with about 50 percent or minimum of $15 an acre initially,” he says. “And then the other two tranches would be looking at any market changes going forward.”
The payments will make up a bulk of the $16 billion trade aid package.
