Precision Ag bill moves forward in Senate

 

Bipartisan legislation is moving forward in the U.S. Senate to increase broadband access in rural communities.

Introduced by Senators Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota and Roger Wicker of Mississippi, the Precision Agriculture Connectivity Act of 2018 would establish a task force focused on improving high-speed internet access to support precision agriculture technology. The Act sets a goal of providing broadband access to 95 percent of agricultural land by 2025.
