President Joe Biden has vetoed a Congressional attempt to overturn the updated Waters of the United States rule.
Biden said the resolution of disapproval would leave Americans without a clear definition of WOTUS and farmers would be left wondering whether artificially irrigated areas are excluded.
The updated rule has been in effect since March for all states except Idaho and Texas.
The resolution’s author, U.S. Congressman for Missouri Sam Graves, said he would like the House to override the President’s veto.
