The price outlook is improving for a southeast Minnesota
dairy farm.
Barb Liebenstein and her husband milk about 400 cows about 40 miles south of the Twin Cities.
“This year has just been a little bit better than last year. And of course with the new revised dairy protection program (Dairy Margin Coverage) I think that’s going to help farmers to come out from a very low point.”
She tells Brownfield Minnesota lawmakers also passed legislation this year to incentivize five-year signup in the Dairy Margin Coverage program.
