An Iowa-based dairy processor says they’ve been waiting for the right opportunity to expand in Michigan.

Vice President of Business Development Mark Peterson with Proliant Dairy Ingredients tells Brownfield their company uses the byproducts from cheese making to make whey permeate which is used for human and animal nutritional products. They’re building a whey processing facility alongside a new cheese plant in Mid-Michigan.
