Efforts to finish up the 2019 harvest are being hampered by limited supplies of propane for grain drying in parts of the Midwest.
April Hemmes, who farms in north-central Iowa near the town of Hampton, says it forced her to change her marketing plans.
“I ended up having to fill my bin and unload from my bin
and haul it to the ethanol plant, which takes it at 19 percent.
