Protecting Farmers from Natural Disasters Act introduced in U.S. House

A bill in the U.S. House would help farmers recover from flood damage.

Congressman Zach Nunn tells Brownfield he recently introduced the bipartisan Protecting Farmers from Natural Disasters Act. “Building back their ag land even stronger and more flood and drought resistant than it was prior to the incident.”

The Iowa Republican says the legislation would expand the USDA’s Emergency Watershed Protection Program. “So that we can keep a robust crop insurance program going forward,” he said.
