Rain and snow delay harvest across the Corn Belt

An agricultural meteorologist says rain and some snow will continue to fall across the Corn Belt bringing much-needed moisture and delaying harvest.

Drew Lerner with World Weather Incorporated says there’s rain from a tropical storm moving from the southwest up into the Great Lakes Region, which could bring more than an inch of rain to areas.

“Some of the precipitation that happens in Iowa and Missouri might be enough to saturate the topsoil a little bit.
