Southwest Iowa farmer Duane Aistrope says Mother Nature provided much-needed relief for his crops this week.
“The corn was really rolling big time,” he said. “It was protecting itself from the harsh winds and hot temperatures.”
He tells Brownfield he remains optimistic about this year’s crop. “Stuff is still looking pretty good,” Aistrope said. “Our beans seem like they are a week and a half to two weeks behind normal on the closing of our 15-inch rows.
