Precipitation helped improve soil conditions in Indiana this week. The USDA says that corn is at various stages but is benefiting from warmer conditions.
corn is 99 percent emerged and 76 percent good to excellent. Soybeans are 98 percent planted and 74 good to excellent.
There was a heat alert this week, but livestock are reported to be in good condition.
Topsoil moisture is 84 percent and Subsoil moisture is 83 percent adequate to surplus.
