Across the Corn Belt, rain showers and scattered, strong thunderstorms crossing the upper Mississippi Valley are causing temporary corn and soybean harvest delays. A surge of warmth has reached the southwestern Corn Belt, where Tuesday’s high temperatures in parts of Missouri could reach 85°F.
On the Plains, tropically enhanced showers associated with the remnants of former eastern Pacific Hurricane Norma— currently a tropical depression located near Culiacán, Mexico—are spreading across the Rio Grande into parts of Texas.
