Rain slows harvest in Ohio

The USDA says soybean harvest slowed in Ohio last week because of wet conditions, but corn harvest continued ahead of the five-year average. Rainfall also slowed winter wheat planting.

According to the latest USDA Crop and Weather report, 69 percent of the corn crop was mature, and 82 percent of soybeans were dropping leaves.  And both corn and soybean harvest is 6 percent complete.

Eleven percent of the corn crop has been harvested and soybean harvest is 15 percent complete.
