June 1st has been named World Milk Day by the United Nations celebrate the contributions of dairy around the globe.
Jolene Griffin with the United Dairy Industry of Michigan says the dairy industry is celebrating by raising a glass of milk on social media with the hashtag #WorldMilkDay. “We want to kick off June Dairy Month with World Milk Day to talk about why dairy is so important to us.” Griffin says her best advice for all farmers is to find ways to share their story throughout June Dairy Month and why farming is important to them.
