Rising costs for Christmas tree growers will likely be passed onto consumers this season.
Real Christmas Tree Board executive director Marsha Gray tells Brownfield a recent survey of their members found increases up to 15 percent are likely.
“Their input costs have gone up significantly and a certain percentage of that is getting passed on in the wholesale price of those Christmas trees,” she shares.
She says supplies and other logistical challenges are expected to be similar to 2021.
