Legislation important to the pocketbooks of Minnesota farmers is making progress as the Session winds down.
Representative Jeanne Poppe of Austin, DFL lead on the House Ag Finance Committee, says reauthorizing the Rural Finance Authority (RFA) is a big ask with a lot of support.
“We’re seeking $35 million dollars. The bill was included in the Ag Finance Bill, which got rolled into a very large omnibus bill. And (the RFA legislation) is also a stand-alone bill as well as in the bonding bill.
