An ag meteorologist says the recent snow and rain will provide some much-needed moisture for an already dry Corn Belt.
But Drew Lerner with World Weather Incorporated says it will take a few days for the snow to melt in the northern Corn Belt, because another storm is coming later this week.
“We’ll have a short-term bout of warming during mid-week, but it’s probably not going to be very impressive and so, the temperatures will still be near to below normal and only a small amount of melting will happen,” says Lerner.
