Recent rains welcomed by north Iowa farmer

Recent rains have been well received in the drier parts of the Midwest.

North central Iowa farmer Chris Edgington says the moisture is beneficial.

“Because we’ve got some fall tillage that needs to (happen), we need some stalk decomposition that needs to happen. But we simply just need some moisture in the soil.”

The corn and soybean grower from St. Ansgar tells Brownfield the moisture will help recharge soils for next year’s crop.
