Many in the ag industry are highlighting the role agriculture plays in providing a safe and abundant food supply during National Ag Day and Week.
Don Lamb is the director of the Indiana State Department of Agriculture.
“It’s a matter of national security that we have enough food to provide for not only our country, but other countries,” he says. “When you really take it to that macro level, agriculture is so important that having one National Ag Day is something we ought to celebrate.”
Lamb is also a farmer who raises corn, soybeans, popcorn, and wheat in Boone County.
