U.S. ethanol stocks dropped last week. The U.S. Energy Information Administration says the supply declined 1.995 million barrels to 21.224 million, the largest week to week loss on record and the tightest supply in more than two years.
Production averaged 963,000 barrels a day, up 5,000, but the third week in a row with an average below a million barrels, ahead of the release of the White House’s biofuels plan, which was well received by the industry.
