Removing barriers to mental healthcare access in rural America

Just 35 percent of rural counties have access to psychiatrists and just 5 percent of rural counties have a child psychiatrist.  That makes access to mental healthcare exponentially more challenging for rural residents as opposed to their urban counterparts. 

Chuck Strand is the executive director for Rural Minds.  He tells Brownfield the organization is working to address those.
