Iowa Governor Kim Reynolds has signed an executive order
declaring all new diesel vehicles purchased for state fleets will be from
manufacturers that explicitly approve of B20 use.
Iowa Renewable Fuels Association president Derek Winkel
praised the declaration, saying it sends a strong market signal to diesel
engine manufacturers. He also says increasing
biodiesel usage helps reduce greenhouse gas emissions and boosts the rural
economy.
Iowa is the number one biodiesel producing state at 365
million gallons in 2018.
