Delegates at the recent Illinois Farm Bureau convention adopted a resolution in support of improved trade. Blake Roderick, executive director of the Pike-Scott Farm Bureau, explains, “We want Farm Bureau to continue to join with other businesses and organizations to pursue actions that allow our farmers, our members and businesses to compete in the marketplace. And that’s pretty much it.”
The resolution urges Congress and the administration to resolve trade disputes and enter into new, positive trade agreements for farmers but also rural businesses.
