U.S. Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is in Iowa today to
highlight the economic importance of agriculture.
Laurie Johns with Iowa Farm Bureau tells Brownfield Pompeo
will be giving a major policy speech at the World Food Prize in Des Moines.
According to his spokesperson, the Secretary plans to discuss
how the State Department serves American economic interests through the
promotion of U.S. exports.
U.S. Ambassador to China and former Iowa Governor Terry Branstad will be in attendance, as will current Governor Kim Reynolds and Iowa Ag Secretary Mike Naig.
